Goodbye Everyone!

I never thought the day would come. The day I’d have to say goodbye. It’s crazy how you can spend so much time doing something you love, and realize how much time has actually gone by when it is time for it to end. In this post, I need to say some things that I have been thinking about, without being under the pressure of being on stage in front what felt like a million people.

First, I’d like to thank all of you. Your time and dedication, as well as your creativity, uniqueness, and frequency of segment production has made the program what it was this year. After this year’s LDTV Awards, I think it is safe to say that the Renegade Morning Show as well as Shawnee Extra and Students of the Month have been the highest quality programs in the district. I receive compliments from students around school constantly about how great the morning show is. On top of that, the shows are produced with the highest amount of professionalism that I have ever seen, especially out of people our age. You all have been a fantastic crew, and I couldn’t have been more proud to lead such a group that is so outstanding.

Next I would like to personally thank Gabi Flamini. Gab, you are one who really stands out in a crowd. With your high energy, your drive to complete tasks, your commitment to the show and the club, as well as LDTV and the many other things you do is one of the most unique things I have ever seen out of a person. You are an excellent producer and you’re so willing to take control and just do things, even if you haven’t been asked, and I’m sure Mr. Pistone and everyone else agrees. I’m truly going to miss working with you all day, every day.

Finally, Mr. Pistone. I’m not even sure how I can express such a thank you. As I had said on stage at Lenape, I had moved to this school from out of district, not knowing what I wanted to do, or who I wanted to be. It truly was fate, ending up in your class. You have taught me so many things that I will certainly be using in the future. Not only have you taught me just about everything I know about video production, but you have also taught me many leadership and life skills. Thanks to you, I am now a productive person, with an amazing attitude and outlook on life. Not only have you been an amazing teacher and mentor, but an awesome friend as well. With the amount of professionalism, and kindness, and patience, and ability to deal with me when I get a little fired up, I couldn’t have asked for anyone else to start me on this path to something that I will love to do for the rest of my life.

These four years have been the best of my life, and I’m glad to be leaving on such a good note. I will miss all of you greatly. I have no doubt that next year will be the best Shawnee TV has ever had! I have all the confidence in the world that Sam, Brandon, and Austin, as well as the rest of the crew will be able to take Shawnee TV further than it has ever been.

Thanks Everyone!
